The main gallery for our temporary exhibitions is housed in a beautifully restored Jacobean barn dating back to the late 1600s, still featuring a host of the original wooden beams. These regularly changing exhibitions portray contemporary art, decorative crafts, fine textiles and unique furnishings, promising to offer something new for you to discover on every visit.
We source unique individually made artworks by named artists giving exhibitions which are displays of excellence and distinction in our five separate exhibition spaces.
During your visit, you must take advantage of our relaxing cafe with it's selection of lunches, homemade cakes, fairtrade coffee and tea and organic luscombe juices. Seating is also available outside in our courtyard. The serene atmosphere extends further into a beautiful garden revealing nature's textures, colours and shapes to offer a picturesque atmosphere through the seasons.
Our Art Supplies shop stocks a wide variety of materials including dyes and paints, sketchbooks and hand made paper, metal meshes, fabrics and shim, as well as beads, tools, glues and embossing powders. The list really does go on. We specialise in unusual supplies such as, hand-dyed fabrics and threads and unique heritage items for collage and jewellery. Buy online through our website - www.thebeetroottree.com
Inspiration is on hand all around the gallery from our samples in the art supplies area, to the exhibitions and displays by contemporary designer-makers, and our workshops and events with specialist tutors are always popular. With everything from Try-It workshops to full day Glass Fusing and Silversmithing.
